 People have tried to perfect this ancient art form over the last hundred and twenty years is horror. People have tried to petrify others by stimulating the less logical parts of the mind through the imagination of tales and stories.

Roots of Horror Films: The roots of Horror films date back to the late 1890’s where George’s Melies produced depictions of supernatural events which appeared in several of the silent short films. The most notable one’s being the one’s which were produced around the 1896 – 1899 era. Le Manoir Du Diable was his most notable, this film is also known as “The House of the Devil” this has been credited as the first horror film.
